Fun, Friends & Philanthropy

Welcome to the Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses' Association (KLSA)

At KLSA, we are committed to building a strong, supportive, and spirited community. Living overseas, far from our immediate families, brings unique challenges—and opportunities. That’s why we strive to be your extended family while you're here in Germany.

Bound by our shared experience, we believe that by giving our time, sharing compassion, and offering knowledge, we can make our community stronger for everyone. Whether you’re looking to make new friends, get involved, or simply have fun, KLSA is here for you.

Our motto—"Fun, Friends & Philanthropy"—is more than just words; it’s the foundation of everything we do.

Who We Are

The Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses' Association (KLSA) is a unique blend of social connection and community service. We are dedicated to supporting the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC) through financial assistance and volunteer efforts that enhance the lives of service members, families, and organizations in our area.

As both a social and service-oriented organization, KLSA offers meaningful ways to connect with others while making a tangible difference.

Our Impact

Our primary source of funding is the KLSA Thrift Shop, conveniently located near the Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) in Landstuhl. Proceeds from the shop go directly toward:

  • Community Grants that support local programs and initiatives

  • The Chaplains Holiday Fund, which brings comfort and cheer to families during the holiday season

  • KMC Scholarships, helping students pursue their academic goals

When you shop, donate, or volunteer with KLSA, you're helping to strengthen our entire community.

Our Legacy of Service and Support

The Kaiserslautern Landstuhl Spouses' Association (KLSA) has a proud and enduring history within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC). What began as a small club has grown into a thriving organization that has served this community for over 60 years. Since opening the doors of our Thrift Shop in 1963, we’ve been committed to giving back in meaningful ways.

We are deeply grateful for the continued opportunity to support our overseas family. Thanks to the dedication of our incredible members, KLSA volunteers have collectively donated thousands of hours to support the KMC, its people, and its mission.

As you begin—or continue—your journey in Germany, we invite you to be part of this legacy. We hope you have fun, make friends, create lasting memories, and truly enjoy your time here.
